Default housing for hot water system

    hi all

I am going to box in my garbage bins, with a nice timber box like structure. This will be going right next to my hot water system.

I really hate the look of the ho water system, so i was thinking of boxing this in as well.

Can this be done? Or is there some safety issues. Obviously it will be well ventalated and have access doors.

There shouldnt be any problems - if you put a weatherproof top over it as well. Might be an idea to make enclosure so whole side can be removed at some time in the future eg batten screw sides together.

The plumbers will soon tell us but if it is gas you won't be able to enclose it like that. It needs air circulation for proper combustion and for the venting of exhaust gases.

yeah it is gas, however i was thinking of using timber decking slats with descent spacing, for air circulation
