can you do roofing iron or must a plumber?
hi i was wondering in victoria if you have to use a plumber to put a new roof on or can you do it yourself?

If there is an official stormwater drainage system serviciing your block you must use a plumber.
If all water is kept in rainwater tanks you can do it yourself

All our water is kept in rainwater tanks, and there is no official stormwater system servicing our blocks.
We had to show a plumbers certificate for the roof and guttering when doing our final inspection for our CoO.
Admittedly this was 6 years ago, but I can't those requirements being relaxed since then.

I am pretty sure that the PIC doesn't make any distinction between tank or stormwater roofs. From around 23 years ago you have to be a roof plumber to install roofing in Victoria.
