Bathroom Bearers and Joists Span
I have gutted a bathroom (approx 3000 x 2000) including removing suspended slab floor
I am putting in a new floor and am using second hand 100 x 70 hardwood from a previous demo as the bearers and joists (I have enough even though it may be overkill for joists)
I am going to tile using approx 6" square tiles
I am wondering...
what is the max span for bearers and joists using this size timber?
and also,
yellow tongue or red tongue structa floor or compressed fibro?
Thank you
John

IN a bathroom - joist span 1200 @ 450 centers , bearer span also 1200 . distances are the same for single span or continuous spans.
Use compressed fibre cement if you can - much better.
