Re-activating shellawax cream in the container
A friend asked is it possible to restore a half used bottle of shellawax cream that has dried out a bit. Will mineral turps do the job? Or what is recommended, apart from discarding and opening a new bottle.

Guess I'd prefer he open a new jar and chuck the old one but that would be a bit mercenary wouldn't it.
Tell him, a really good stir up of the mix will usually bring it back to a soft cream. If it is still a bit thick stir in some Shellawax Liquid. Do not mix turpentine with it! Always a good idea to give the cream a bit of a stir each time it's used.
Adding turpentine is a NO-NO, metho will thin it but will also degrade the polish pretty dramatically. Best thinner by far is either Shellawax (liquid) or Shellawax Glow.
Hope this helps.

Try running hot water over the lid for a while & then wipe it dry & use a rag to hold the lid while it is still hot.
Cliff.
