Allan had suffered a grievous injury while caravanning, resulting in his member being damaged beyond repair.
The surgeon explained to Allan that he had had to remove the damaged appendage but that he was able to perform another operation to graft on a new one. He went on to say the operation was expensive and cost $1000 per 25mm grafted on.
He told Allan that under the new federal government's health package, he was entitled to $10,000 compensation for his injury and that he could use the money to pay for the operation. He suggested Allan discuss with his wife exactly how much should be grafted on.
The next day, the surgeon visited Allan and noticed he was looking depressed and asked if he and his wife had discussed the suggested operation and what was their decision.
Allan replied, "We are getting a new kitchen."

Would make you give up caravaning wouldn't it?
Reality is no background music.

Talk about hitting a bloke whilst he is down.
Here I am, writhing in agony just sitting on the chair
trying to read jokes, and now I have another sore spot
by the sound of things.
Ok, have your fun. I will just go and take some more
painkillers, lie down, sleep for a while, wake up in a
nasty mood, try to get off the couch without my
stomach muscles tearing any further, kick the cat,
swear at the missus, curse all the rain we are getting,
abuse the TV set as there is no cricket on today and
return to the computer to check for a decent joke.
I might read the sick joke that I just placed on.
Allan
