Default Cast iron Bath re-enamel - DIY

    Hi guys,

i re-enameled my old bath about a month ago. I bought the product from mitre ten, used as advised and let sit for much longer than advised before filling with water. ( aproximately 8 weeks)

I have had four baths now and the fumes coming off the thing are very very strong.
Its not possible to use it really... just smells like sniffing nail polish.

Does anybody know whats going on? Any way to remove the fumes/odour.
As i said, its had four deep hot baths through it already, and has been washed with ajax and other cleaners...

As for the job - i mainly re-enameled the bottom, and a few nicks and scratches around the top. So all in all, about a third of entire bath. The rest is still old original enamel.

    help?
    thanks

Have you spoken to the manufacturer's customer advice line, or to one of their chemists or tech people. Should have contact details on the product container.

You could use Nilodour (sp?) or similar to kill the smell a bit.
