Retic Help
Hi
I had retic put in at the front of my house as part of the block deal, i also had 2 solinoids put in at the back of the house for when we were ready to put lawn down. i put the retic down today for the back and contected the retic to one of the 2 solenoids at the rear , when i manually ran a program from the retic controller , both the back and front stations came on together. there is a black wire and white wire that was not conected in the contrller and a white wire not connected at the 2 solenoids at the back garden.
I just want to no why the back garden station is now going on with all the front stations.
appreciate any help
thanks

Bit hard to tell, but it sound like both the solenoids are connected to the same output on the controller. Or, one of the solenoids is connected to the master output.
Most controllers that I know of have a master output and a number of solenoid outputs. The master output turns on when any of the programs are running, usually to turn on a pump.
The solenoid outputs are a single connection, with a shared common. One wire from each solenoid should be connected to one of the output terminals, the other to the common.
I hope that sort of helps a bit?Cheers,
Anthony

There should be 2 wires from each solenoid- a common wire out of each solenoid, which should be all connected together, then joined to the common inlet of the controller.
Then the remaining wire from each solenoid should be joined to the wire which runs to each individual station at the controller.
If 2 are working at once they must be connected together at some point, bit hard to find the cause without seeing it but you will have to try trace where each wire is going and eliminate the problem from there
