Am I being cynical
Just had an election. Labor (correct spelling for ALP) in and now the banks are suddenly increasing mortgage rates and petrol companies are denying NRMA claims they artificially held fuel prices low during election period. Is it just a conspiracy theory?

There are things that the government cannot do. Making promises is easy, doing them is something else. I would like to see how the new government “fix” the country.

I don't think it's a conspiracy, I think it's just opportunism. The banks and petroleum companies can now blame the new government for the increases.
Just wait until the skeletons in the closet start coming out, like they did after the Coalition took over from Keating."I don't practice what I preach because I'm not the kind of person I'm preaching to."

Actually the Commonwealth announced that rates were going to go up, BEFORE the election. NAB confirmed they would follow.

You prolly need to hold an election to see what part of the computer can do it, then the part or parts elected need to hold a meeting to appoint a delegation to see if those parts that were elected to do the job can actually perform the tasks involved.
Then its down to the pub......
Back to work.
When said parts who were elected to perform the said task fail to perform, its all out....., even when there are parts that can do the job adequately sit idly by doing nothing.
Hope that helps.
