waterproofing for tiles
I will be in the process of removing dome old tiles and replacing them with new ones as the water is leaking thru the walls. Does anyone know of an effective way to seal the wall?

I presume you're referring to water seeping through "into" the wall and not "out of/from the other side". Dunlop has a paint on sealant which forms a waterproof skin on the plasterboard once it sets. You can then tile it up after that.
