His number plate was already MSW 472 and he changed his name to that!

wiat a minute, i got it straight away. but then i thought, thats not a joke so i tried to figure it out even more and there was nothing to figure out.

I got it right off too, so it must not be an age thing.

Had a boss about 45 years ago (well before personalised plates), who had the same last 4 digits for his car number plate, his home telephone number, and his house address. Obviously well-connected, although probably not a good idea nowadays.
