Solomon's wisdom
Taking his seat in his chambers, the judge faced the opposing lawyers.
"I have received from both of you, a bribe."
The lawyers squirmed uncomfortably. "You Lawyer John, gave me $15,000 and you Lawyer Allan, gave me $10,000."
The judge reached into his pocket and pulled out a cheque and handed it to John and said, "I am returning $5,000 and I will decide this case on it's merits."

Thank goodness if it was on their jokes they'd both loose or the case could go on for years

Nothing like an honest judge.
Reality is no background music.
Cheers John

It was in Reader's Digest in the 1960's. Still makes me laugh - a magistrate who took bribes would just keep the lot & leave the clients guessing about who paid 'enough' - DAMHIK.
