    Default Perth Grano worker needed

We are adding on 2 extra bedrooms that are 25m2 in total and needing the slab poured for this area.
The slab needs to be 100mm thick and the perimeter footings of 450mm wide by 250mm deep. So it will be approx 3 cubic metres of concrete needed. We already have the F63 mesh.
I have rung a few concrete companies and found for 3 cubic metres it would cost about $600 - $650

The 3 quotes I have recieved so far for supply and lay are:
$8,500 (which I could only laugh at)
    $4,500
    $2,500

Does anyone know a Grano worker in Perth who is happy to go on a day rate? We are also able to supply a couple of burly blokes for labourers, but just need the expertise for the finish.

Your outside footing seem far to light, I'd recheck your specs, the most important part of the job is the footings and I would not be skimping one in with 250mm depth.

Who's doing the forming up / formwork?
Who's supplying the plastic sheeting for under the slab and mesh chairs?
    Who's paying for the concrete?

If the grano worker is then the $2,500 seems reasonable.

A day rate and you supplying some burly blokes doesn't necessiarly mean it'll be cheaper, but thats your call.

This concrete calculator will calculate perimeter footings and internal thickenings in a slab

    http://www.blocklayer.com/Concrete-Calculator.aspx

    or mobile
    http://blocklayer.mobi/slab.aspx

I also just added this to the mobile calculator(s)
(even with your desktop browser) you can save the results and get a short jobID #.
Use the ID# to re load calculations.
You can check your calculations with someone (like on here) by telling them the job ID#, which they can enter to load the calculations here

    Thanks for the replies.
The bedroom area has been bricked up to the height of the existing house, so the footings and blocks (core filled/ reinforced) have been laid already. Then we have had the area backfilled and compacted. So we are just needing the 100mm slab poured, and where the internal walls are being laid a perimetre footing of 450x250.

We have the mesh, plastic and chairs.
The quotes I gave was for the suppy of concrete and lay price.

I had a look at the blocklayer site.. fantastic...thanks. So looks like I need more like 4m3 of concrete.
What I am really after is what a Grano guy would charge for the day? $1000?
