Default Window Cleaning / Water restrictions

Does anyone know an efficient way to go about cleaning the outside of my house windows within the current Melbourne water restrictions ?

Does anyone know if professional window cleaners use a chemical in their water ? The way they dont leave any streaks amazes me !!!

A good car detergent, a wide hand applicator mop, a wide commercial squeegee and some methylated spirits in the water. I'll post a pic later of the mop and the squeegee that I mean.
