A nice job - its good to see someone does them properly - mine get a quick sand until there's no rust visible, then trad wax on blade and handle and I take them to the be sharpened at Peacocks. One day I'll have the time to give them the tlc they deserve.
BTW, you said you'd beaten out a kink - how did you do that?Cheers, Richard

I followed the advice of http://norsewoodsmith.com/node/28
It worked well. I do not have n anvil so used a bit of RSJ and a few firm taps with a 4lb hammer on the high side of the bend. I had always thought that a saw with a kink in it was past hope before I had seen that site. What did we all do before the web?
