Compressed Fibre Cement flooring for deck
was wondering if anyone had any tips on laying FC over treated pine joists. Will be 1800 x 1200 x 15mm. Aim to lay accross the joists. Aim to tile once laid.
So far I know -
1. Leave a 5mm gap between sheets
2. Use galv. 50mm screws
3. poly between joints.
Qs. 1. do I need to lay anything over joists first?
2. should I put up the newel posts before laying?
3. How long can they lay in the weather before laying tiles?
4. at what stage should I waterproof between deck and walls?
5. do just lay tiling cement straight on FC or do I need to do something else?
would appreciate any help or a point to a good site.
