    Default Tool Applications

    I've seen the posts on warnings re use of tools eg: On a mower " Not to be used as an overhead hedge trimmer" or on a router " Not to be used for dental work" but how many of us see our neighbours using tools in a strange way?

    We use a whipper snipper at our place but my neighbour lets his kid use a blowtorch attached to a large LPG cylinder to get rid of those bits the mower misses. Beat that!

    Default strange uses

    I,ve seen a warning on a dremmel "not to be used as dental tool"
    and on a heat gun " not to be used as a hairdryer"

    Mmmm. Sounds good. Can you tell us more about the blowtorch?
    On a flexible hose and has an approx 25mm diameter nozzle like the ones used for heating metal (annealing?). Ive seen this setup used before but only on metal and always in a workshop with appropriate safety equipment on the user.
    One day we will hear the 'bang' but it will be all over then.

    I thought it bad enough when I drove past sons FIL's place who was out doing the lawns and edges and using his brickies trowl to cut the edges.

    One would assume that if they were forced to put the warning label on, it must have been a big enough issue.... Scary that someone thought you could
    I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.
