Default SCM C35 Combination Saw Evolution

I have promised a couple of forum members that I would post more information regarding this saw and mainly the modifications carried out to it on the Forum. There has been a fair bit of PM/email'ing which is not open to all members and therefore not accessable to all (which is the idea of having a forum).

    So here goes!

In the beginning, purchased late 2004. No dust extraction, saw guard fixed to riving knife which had to be removed when trenching/rebating.

Early Dust Extraction; 1hp 3 phase.
2x200l drums with truck filter in top drum and rubber floor mat deflector.

    Jointer outfeed table locking nut!

3mm Al safety guard over jointer blades also gives an edge for the fence to hook over. Jointer runs with saw not separately!

Incra fences also used for the spindle

Dust extractor, built around Bill Pentz design. Total cost just under $300.
Original blower housing rusted out, 5hp 1450rpm motor and fan $50
Reversed direction of fan & new housing to reduce noise.

Blower housing exhaust “V”cut out modification further reduced noise. 14, 220l drums of sawdust later and all going well. Filters are from a 240t Komatsu 830E haul truck-$free.

I don't think so. Check your other posts for missing photos.

Yeah, all pictures from old posts are gone.

Question; when my alocation of pictures is full, what should I do? Re-register as someone else!

Any chance of deleting this thread as it is useless without pictures!
