    Default span tables

Does anyone know where to download an easy to use span table program from.
I am trying to size a timber lintel to span across 3.5mtr opening for the installing of bifold doors on an external wall.
    Weatherboard home with cement tiles.

any advice would be much appreciated.

Tillings Timber have a good software system that is free called Smartframe. You need to register this system via fax to get the full range of applications otherwise you can only use LVL products. It is easy to use and has picture fields where you can add the data.

    Tillings details are:

    Hope this helps,

There are span tables here, but the only go up to a 2.4m opening:

There are LVL span tables here, and depending on your Roof Load Width, for a span of 3.5m, you'd need at least a 240x63, with an RLW of 2.4m, up to a 300x63 for an RLW of 7.2m.
