    could the intersecter be supported by a hanging beam running parellel overhead to the next lb wall?

    Thanks for the response but I completed the job over a year ago.

    To get around the issue I put the perpedicular beam into the roof into the roof space and bolted it to all roofing members and to angle plate bolted to the main steel beam.

    Doing that also ment I was able to double it up as a hanging beam for the suspended ceiling!
