    Default Co-Axial Cable Query

    Hi,

I'm not sure if this is electrical or not but I've put it here anyway. My telly went funny last night when I was watching the storm thrash Manly. Anyway I trouble shot it to the coaxial connector which had fractured the female connector inside. Anyway, I'd had a few beers by then so I took it to bit to try and fix it (i know, i know) and now can't remember how it was wired. I'm going to get a new connector today and was wondering if anyone knew how to re wire a TV coax cable.

    Cheers

DJ's link is on the money, a variation I have seen & use myself is to twist the shielding braid into a small tail & trap it under one of the lugs, looks neater & more positive connection IMO & no stray braid strands.
