Default Purchase Brushes Or Wadding For French Polish Rubber?

    Hi All,

I have been having difficulty in locating a supplier in Adelaide for French Polish "bits" (have done a yellow pages search). I am about to apply Neil's hard shellac to a table top and have read camel hair brushes are the best. The only ones I can find are artist brushes about an inch in width - I think that would take a month of Sunday's to get through.

If anyone knows of a supplier in Adelaide, I would be eternally grateful - or perhaps even Melbourne - I am going there in a couple of weeks.

I am keen to finish my project, but I am being held up by not having the correct equipment - or the best for the job.

    Thanks again as always.

    Ciao for now.

    Marls

    Marls,

Neil's book has instructions on how to make your own polisher’s pad / wad with cotton. That is the quickest way to build up the base.

Sorry, cannot be any help on camel hair brushes.

    Regards,

    Theva
