Well, Gaza, the good thing about a free market economy is that if you think you can do better than someone else, there is nothing to stop you from trying.

Assuming you buy some from Bunnings at $1.95 each and list them on eBay, the eBay listing fee will be 0.50 and gallery fee 0.59. If it sells at this guy's asking price of $4.50, the eBay final value fee (commission) will be 0.24. Selling price of $4.50 less total eBay fees of $1.33 and purchase price of $1.95 leaves a nice fat profit of $1.22 .

That is assuming it sells, of course. If every second one doesn't sell, which is more than likely, you stand to make a whole 13 cents. Wowsers! For that, you'll have the pleasure of dealing with emails and silly questions, tracking payments, chasing up payments when they are late, packing and posting and running the risk of having to replace the goods if they go astray. If the seller is a business, GST will need to be factored in. Does that sound like a fun, get rich quick business to you?

Incidentally there must be a big difference in price between Bostik and the opposition because Selleys Liquid Nails was $5.99 this morning at K-Mart and $6.99 in Coles supermarket. Either that or Bunnings have the Bostik on special and this guy is doing just what I described above. I say he's welcome to do it!

You have to factor the price of postage, camel trains or pack horses into the equation as well I think it could be a big loss
