Architrave

I need to buy bullnose architrave (67x19 or there abouts) without the recess in back of it .
Where can I buy it from? I am in Sydney, Sutherland Shire.

Not saying it doesn't exist, but I've never seen it. I presume you're using it for something other than it's intended purpose. You might have better luck approaching a joinery and getting them to make it up for you. Or you can make it yourself if you have access to a router.

I need to use it as skirting. The problem is I have two walls that end at a step , so normal architrave ending where the walls end will look silly, hence the question.
Or is there another way around this problem?

Yes. Cut the end of the skirting at 45 degrees and join an offcut as if you were turning a corner but cut the return leg off flush with the back of the board.

In the ACT this is available at Bunnings and other suppliers, but in pre-painted MDF in both 67x19 and 45x19. I imagine it might be more widely available.

If you can't find it and have a router you can get close by routing over standard skirting as SilentC says and that would give an OK result.

Do Forum search on 'scribing' and 'skirting' and you will get some good advice on how to do this.

cut the return leg off flush with the back of the board.

Hold on to the long end when you do it, and then hope it doesn't get jammed up between your blade and guard.
