Free House Melbourne
Hi Guys, I'm removing/demolising a house in Mt Waverley to make way for a new house my wife and I want to build. Its quite a big house with 5 bedrooms. The only conditions is that you cap the amneties at the appropriate places and remove the entire house. There's also a tin shed if you want. If you're interested PM me or reply to [email protected]. I have photo's if you're interested.

don't do it you're only teasing yourselfRamps
When one has finished building one's house, one suddenly realizes that in the process one has learned something that one really needed to know in the worst way--before one began.

Mate you'll end up paying someone to remove the house... the materials wouldnt cover the cost of removing the house!
You ever tried removing a foundation before its not a job for hand tools, services need to be capped/removed by qualified tradeys.
Then there's dust control and councils to deal with... list goes on!....................................................................

Mate Harrys right Im afraid
At least over this way... we found it was cheeper and less costly for us to simply demolish the existing house to make way for the new one.
We can offer it for sale for $1 and maybe get a bite a nibble (one couple we know have had their place down south on "the market" for $1 for over 12 months now and its caused no end of problems for them with their builders) or we can try to believe that the house transporter will "find someone" who will pay $5000 for it and then they pay him the $30000 plus to move it which is VERY doubtfull and leaves us at the mercy of the transporter since he wont do anything about finding someone UNTIL we have signed a building contract and are then on a time schedule to remove it... thus as we have found out he then takes right up to the last minute to say he cant find anyone and then offers to take it away for NOTHING!!... ergo we end up with zilch... house gone for sure but an increadible amount of stress we dont need.
So to avoid that sort of stress we are demolishing it... getting in the tradies first leccy plumber telstra etc get the services cut of and capped then pulling it down and taking everything out the back behind the shed... maybe to be re-erected maybe not but Im damned if Im going to give it away for nothing to anyone
Only one way I would consider that as an option... is through Habitat for Humanity... if they want it to relocate and refurbish for a family in need then we would for sure consider it the way to go and happily give it away... but for someone like the house transporter to give us grief and increase the stress load to take it away to "get it offsite for you" and then sell it for up to 25000 per HALF... then no we will rip it down... and besides theres a shyteload of good timber in this place!!!
And that at the end of the day may well be your best bet as well... although theres a disclaimer with all that... I dont know what your transporters are like I also dont know if they will buy your houses over there and I also dont know if you can actually sell and or give away a house over there... but thats what we found was the best option for us.Believe me there IS life beyond marriage!!!
