    Default myrtle question

got some of this in a 8x2 which was kind of light and softish with a pink colour
beautifull to work and a bit like mahogany
machines beautfull and a real pleasure to work with

got another smaller board which in contrast is a lot denser and pretty hard with a very even tight grain. the coulour is a deeper pink almost to a jarrah colour.

are these different types of myrtle? or are some boards light and others dense

Wot John said; varies a lot. Some of it comes from Vic forests as well.
