    Default shellac traces..plz help

    hello people
i just found about this forum as i am in some trouble,
i just refinished a teak floor,
i polished it, put sealer, and i just applied last coat of brown shellac, which was in flakes.
after i covered the whole surface, i saw that when it was drying it started to leave brown traces.
anyone know what is causing that?
maby leftover shellac on teh side of teh spreading padding or a bad mixture with spirit..?
any suggestion how to remove these brown stains??
i intend to sand it with a very fine paper when its dry, would it solve that ?

    any comment appreciated
    thanks

    Default Shellac -Brown Stains

There is a "possibilty" that you did not mix the shellac through out the application, and the color in the shellac seperated.

You might try, using your flat brush with alcohol, and try "tipping off" to see if it floats out some of the color.

I don't know if "tipping off" is the term used here in OZ, but it means to use only the tip of the brush to feather it back and forth lightly.

    Give it a try...
