    Default Pet flea

Reading Barry's joke reminded me of when I was younger and had a pet flea. I called it Cedric and kept it in a match box. I found Cedric when I was about 15 years old and spent many hours training him to do all sorts of tricks. He could hop from one hand to another and I even taught him to do somersaults. I use to train him at night in my bedroom. He became my best friend over time and I took him everywhere with me. I would show him off to my friends and let them see the tricks he could do.
Finally when I turned 18 and was old enough to go into the local pub, I took Cedric with me and ordered my first pint of beer. I enjoyed the taste of my first beer and suddenly I thought of Cedric and decided to show the bartender my best friend. so I took Cedric out of his little matchbox home and placed him on the pub counter and called the bartender over to where I was standing.
He came over to me and I pointed to my beautiful pet flea on the bar and said proudly."What do you think of that" pointing to Cedric.
The bartender looked at Cedric for a moment and then without warning, crushed Cedric with his dirty big thumb until he was just a dead blob on the bar, and said," yeah, we get a lot of them in here"

With that John should have learned that old bad jokes should be forgotten at age 18 and flea's carry disease.

I must admit I had to scratch around to find that one.

Not as many bites as I'd have expected by now, though.
