Fijian mahogany
We are trying to make a decision about decking for our new verandah/deck and were recommended Fijian mahogany. It comes out of a plantation, so I feel a little better about using it than merbau, but the questions I have are about its ease of use.
Has anyone used Fijian mahogany? How was it to work with? What is its durability?
Thanks!

I made a deck out of Fijian Mahogany and was really happy with how it came up. I used 140 x 32 boards, which mostly came in 3.6-3.9 m lengths. Its pretty easy to work with, not as hard as something like Merbau.
The attached photo only shows part of the deck (the total area was about 8 x 6.5 m) and is a bit dusty because of other work we were doing, but gives a general idea how it looks. (The kitchen was another project, but it was professionally built).
