Had an old mate in Townsville many years ago with a glass eye. When he went to the dunny at the pub he'd take it out and put it beside his beer to "keep an eye on it" (as he said). Also had 2 metal legs and often wore shorts. He didn't let his disabilities rule him.

He's long gone now, but would have loved that joke.
