    Default another computer question

Did a right click on My documents, went to properties > general> advanced.

I see there is a check box to compress attributes to save disk space.

Would this option distress my photographs saved in My pictures (also in my documents) ?

Mine says compress contents, which as I understand just makes them a little longer to access. No real benefits if you have sufficient disk space.
    Have a good one

    Probably not, but
    a. why risk it
    b. definitely won't gain much space this way.

I have all my photos stored on an external harddrive (which I back up), so let the collection grow. (In fact, I store almost no personal files on the computer - save all that for the programs, and processing, and use external drives for data.)

I do play strange games though - I already have around 2 terabytes of storage, and have another 1.5 TB drive arriving soon (primarily for the woodworking podcasts - each one takes about 80GB while I'm editing the raw footage).
