Fess up time - Ever been to a strip club?
I thought about this as a poll, but who cares,
I went to one in 1977, Kings Cross, boring but to pessed to care. The supplier just kept feeding us beer,

Never been to one, can't be bothered, never found the time, not drunk enough or in the company to end up at one. Who knows I am no wouser but could easily see the situation Rudd ended up in. Really who cares it's not a big deal, it's just between Rudd and his family and whoever floated this story should be help up for the muck raking scum they really are.

Come on, he went out with a northern territory poli, a journalist and a union official. I would be surprised if it didn't end up in a strip club......
and yes i have been to one, bucks night, and the girls looked so bored I went home after 30 mins (Had to stick around for a little while to be polite)I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

When I first moved to SinCity my first girlfriend was a bunny from the Bunny Club up the Cross.
I lived with a prostitute when I was 17 and used to make a good living selling paintings to the working girls in the Valley while I was still going to school.
So yeh, Ive been to a strip club. This was a former life mind you.

Never been in one, don't find them at all attractive. Haven't met anyone that does that I would want to meet again.
I am a wowser, but being in a strip club doesn't make a bloke unfit for office.
Having said that, a politician is on the job 24 hours a day, and a certain standard of behaviour (impeccable) is required while on duty, particularly when the politician is a senior one representing ME and MY COUNTRY!
Being too Pizzed to remember what happened would get any one of the rest of us fired! If the incident happened as reported (and KR admits being out of it), and he was a footballer, he'd be suspended at least. If he was the CEO of a public company, he'd be lucky to still have his job.
As for muck raking scum, why did they cover it up for this long???
My thoughts on the press are well known, but don't we have a right to know?

i've been to a strip club, even been in a brothel. So what ? I've been pizzed too. so what ?
malcom frazer lost his strides once in las vagas ? he wasnt in office, neither was rudd.
All pollies, god botherers and journo's should be buried in a deep hole.Zed

Have you ever been in either of those states while on duty though?
Frazer wasn't in office. Rudd WAS. He was the opposition spokesman on foreign affairs. Maybe he doesn't actually speak Chinese, maybe the seppoes just thought he was!
Heaven forbid if he gets pie eyed and decides to invade New Zealand for a lark! It'd be ok, he'd apologise and tell us he couldn't remember a thing.
Even RJ Hawke gave up the stupid juice while in office as I recall. (probably not the girly clubs, but that's not the issue!)

edit:He made the Guiness book of records at one time for the 'fastest sculling of a yard of beer'. Eleven seconds. Now that's a PM that I'd vote for. And anyone who'd sack him for that,,,,is a bum! hickup

Lets look at this a different way even though this happened in 2003/4
1 He is at the time a Government employee on government business for the taxpayers of Australia.
2 It is a breach of government work policy for any employee to have consumed alchohol at work or during work related matters. He was at work even if OS.
3 If this was a normal employee he would have been either sacked or downgraded and reprimanded, like recent Telstra staff also government employee's
4 John Howard imbibes enjoys his beer also at your/our expense he also is breaching employee regualtions as do ALL politicians who consume alcohol at work. Something no worker is allowed to do for fear of casuing and making choices which may cause an injury or kill.
As for christians and grog gee's Christ turned water into wine (imagnine drinking water from back then like drinking out of the tank stream when the colony was started).
Communion is taken with wine, Christ drank wine recall the last supper.
Monks Nun's and Priest's are some of the worlds greatest makers of spirits (not the holy kind)
Look at all the religous orders world wide who have clubs Catholic Clubs, Protestant, Muslim ,Buhdist's and many others.

Many years ago I sold my half share of a business to six of my guys.
They decided to take me to lunch at a Gold Coast "table dancing club".
Being a completely disinterested self confessed wowser, and very busy, by (soon to be ex) partner and I, gave the blokes some dough, and told them to enjoy themselves, but we really had a lot to do, so have one for us.
The following day, they all arrived looking quite sheepish.
I wondered why, and asked how lunch went. "it was very crude" said one, at which I couldn't help but laugh out loud. How is it that one could go to a place where naked shielas danced on your table, and expect it to be genteel and refined?
Personally, I'd rather not have dandruff in my steak!

A mate shouted us in for his 21st and we hang around afterward and ended up getting pics taken with a few of the girls. Then my missus found them. Not been since, or ever likely to go again.
