The curse of sheddie

Strikes again.

Laid up again. This time half a tonne of 12mm plywood sheets fell over on my bad ankle. It ain't pretty. Did you hear my scream you Melbourne-ites? And I still feel nauseous.

This is similar to what I did to my left ankle in 1992.
My actual fracture had the screws and wire on both sides - a real mess.

When the ply sheets (cladding for the house reno) fell on me I heard the same crunching and grinding and really thought I was going to have a heart attack. SWMBO had an adrenalin rush (60years old) and lifted it off me enough to drag my leg out. I think she still cares.

I guess I can say the Reno got me.

Its cladding for the house - 2700 x 1200 x 12mm Shadowclad Ply. It was standing against the shed and we took 2 sheets and put them on the house and I forgot to secure the other 27 sheets. The wind blew them over. I stood them up but the wind blew a strong gust and blew them over again and I couldn't move quick enough.
If I was a horse I'd be put down.

Both legs and one arm were trapped the knife was strapped to my right leg. Couldn't have got it out....

Couple of weeks I reckon. I haven't said anything to SWMBO the ex, but I think I may have a broken bone. Its much too painful to be a sprain. I can't put weight of any amount on it and it throbs all the time. I hate hospitals now.
