    Default Oh Silly Me!

    Good day all!

Greetings & salutations, hope all are well & life is good. Not sure if this is the forum for this enquire but here goes.
Have just finished making my first real project, a coffee table made from pine, and am in the process of getting it ready to have a few coats of matt poly, however silly me used a lead pencil on the pine for marking out etc and now the pencil seems to have been absorbed into the wood making it very difficult to get rid of without excessive sanding etc.
Does anyone know of an easier way to eradicate the dreaded pencil marks without causing too much of a problem for myself. Your advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks Stan (WA)

    G'day Stan,
I'm with Neil on this one.......a "good" eraser should get rid of your problem.
Whilst you're rubbing away.....have a look at shellac and traditional wax from our forum sponsors......links below.......and they are probably available from Carbatec in the west.
Quite a bit easier to apply than the matt poly.......IMHO
