Hanging Heavy Light Fittings
Hi,
Hopefully I've posted this in the right spot. What I have is a house full of solid brass light fittings to install. I thought I'd hang them myself and just get the sparky to connect them. I will use wire or chain to connect them to a rafter inside the roof space but haven't done this before. Is there a correct way to go about it?
The lights are supplied with a small bracked that slips over the end of the brass piple (which covers the wires)? - I'm not sure that I understand how this works either.
Thanks

by the time you go to the effort of hanging them eg, figuring out how, getting the right hardware, it would have been much easier [and with trade prices probably cheaper] to just get the sparky to do it. at least then if something does go wrong with the actual hanging of the lights, you have his insurance to fall back on for any repairs.
