Thread: Can Cadel Do it?

Contador still in yellow
Cadel 23 seconds back
Leipheimer 9 seconds behind Cadel
Man, what a time trial. Gave all three men a chance to test their strengths - Leipheimer with his odd position, Cadel with his power and Contador a few climbs to help him hold the lead.
Can it be turned around tonight? Will they try? There's no way Cadel will get away with a breakaway because Disco will chase everything down and are strong enough to make it stick, so it'll come down to time bonuses - trouble is, I think they're only available on the finishing line ... where the sprinters will be fighting for glory.
But Cadel has to break a leg to fall off the podium so he'll be the first Aussie to stand there.

Good question - Challenge for the yellow on the last day? Never seen it happen but to have three contenders within 31 seconds, well.........
I think it will come down to if Levi wants to win and if Disco will allow the challenge.
On one hand I'd like to see the tradition of Le Tour held up and Contador nor challenged, but then again, an Aussie within 23 seconds of winning.......
Either way, Cadel has done a brilliant job

Cadel is the man, no doubt. I look forward to the highlights on TV. He has done for cycling what the socceroos did for soccer,
Will he get out of Predictor and move to Discovery? Seems like they are the team and he did bitch in earlier interviews.
