Organoil Burnishing
Hi All
I have jumped across from the reno formum for a bit of specialised finishing advice. I have just followed the instruction on the tin and coated a bench in organoil. So that's a couple of coats and then sand down to 1200 grit. Its Jarrah and I have achieved an OK satin finish at present.
If I want to give it another go, do I need to wait a certain period or can I just wipe some new sandpaper with oil tomorrow and start again? It seems to go quite sticky and tries to rip the paper away ... so I probably need the velcro backed stuff but that's been hard to find in such fine grades?
Will I also bring the finish up a bit further if I buff with a beeswax polish later?
Thanks in advance.
