painting over colorbond

G'day, I have to paint a colourbond custom orb shed... I assume that it is powdercoated? am I right?

If it is infact powder coated I know its a bugger to paint over .

Its about 9 yrs old and is in fairly good nick - so how do I prepare it for painting with acrylic?

I would prefer a method that takes little or no effort and that costs next to nothing....and comes with a free set of steak knives.

Thanks Silent but it sounds expensive and messy. I don't have spray equipment - I intend to use a roller.

Is there a product that can be applied with a high pressure washer that will etch prime the powder coat so I can get some bite?

I actually have just got off the phone to bluescope I wasn't ringing them to get instructions mind... I was just having a friendly chat and as it so happens the subject of colorbond crops up.

It turns out that its not powder-coated its oven baked polyester and can be overpainted with minimal preparation..which happens to be the type of preparation I'm very good at.

The bloke on the phone asked if I wanted some instruction sheets sent out but I said "nah send em to Silent"
