    Default poor paint coverage

    Hi,

I'm painting some new cedar windows frames.
I used Dulux 3-in-1 (sealer/prep/undercoat) and then white gloss Dulux aquanamel and even after the fourth top coat I still get vary obvious patches of the brown cedar showing through.

Do I persevere with more coats of the aquamel or should I try another coat of something to seal the cedar before continuing with further top coats?

Please don't say I need to sand back and start again!!!

    Tony

    Tony,
Before anybody beats to to it - I would sand back and start again.
