envirotex and 2 part epoxy
Hi all, just finished a table using envirotex lite, ended up using about 1.5L on a 1m squared table. So after degassing, it was hunky dory, cept, i'm not too happy with the finish. Nice n glossy, some areas real sweet but, I can see a fair few dust spots, the edges arn't too smooth, and a few minute bubble spots here and there..
So 2 options:
1. Sanding it back, adding another layer of envirotex:
Now wats the best way to do this and get a nice hard straight edge? use some sticky tape around the edges, reflood 1mm thick? Will the sticky tape hold the edges? or i need something harder. (i'm still afraid of lint, i dont have a box big enough to go around, but i think while i'm degassing all the lint gets on it anyway)
OR
2. Sanding it back, and waxing/polishing back to a high gloss.
Now with option 2, has anyone had experience with this? wats the best grit sand paper to use to get out these dust/lint spots, and whats a good polish to use? I've tried 1000 grit, and some carnauba wax i had lying around, it comes up satin instead, do i need finer grit? wats the best way?
Thanks in advance for the help.
Regards
Andrew
