Finishing Railway Clock - Jarrah
I am new to the game and as yet haven't applied a finish to anything. But I have spent many long hours making my beautifiul Railway Clock in Jarrah. I now need to apply a finish. I have read a few books and am boggled by the types and looks etc. Can I get a few ideas from this forum. i.e what sort of look and how to get there.
I have attached gold hinges to the door so it's not going to have an antique look. I don't wish to stain it but want to keep the Jarrah timber colour.

Mike, read some of the responses below your post re: finishing a jarrah table. Just make sure you try a few demo finishes on some old stock and compare. There is already more information than you can digest on the forum. Perhaps try a search.
