PC Sound Question
Hei Folks,
Got a nice pair of speakers I'd like to use on the pc but they're not powered, just wondering what people do in this situation.
Can you get small amps or built in amps for the pc?
Cheers
Paul

If they have a 3.5mm jack and are small, the (small) built in amp on the computer's sound card should be fine - can't remember the standard resistance - 8 ohms?
Otherwise, any standard stereo amp will be fine.
You can run the output from the PC into whatever stereo you have - sound is great when you do. I used to do this playing Doom - the pre-launch sound of the rocket launcher was amazing. These days, you can get full 5.1 sound from a modern PC."Clear, Ease Springs"

The speakers I want to use actually some very high quality 6x9 car speakers - they've got terminals on the back but having worked PA in a previous life I can handle any wiring I need to do.
