    Default You Made the News

    Well mates, you're famous.

It appears that your police are better than ours. When we had a similar incident in San Diego a few years ago, the California Highway Patrol actually killed the driver of the stolen tank.

Maybe on second thought... You blokes are going to pay room and board for a few years. Our CHPies probably paid about $1000 for cremation.

What a laugh the media is! that is not the tank that the bloke was driving around in at all.

The only reason he got pulled over is because he ran a red light.

People drive their tanks on the road all the time around here.

I'm still annoyed with him having driven off from my tank yard yesterday without paying the full amount. Never mind I still have plenty left to sell, so anyone wanting a part ex deal or straight cash then give me a call on 0444 054 899.

    Cheers

This is what happens when you try to save pennies and only buy a non-foily forum cap. If he'd lashed out the extra few bucks for a foily, then the ultra-secret guvmint propaganda couldn't have been beamed into his head.

After all, we can only be told so many times that Howard the Duck is a top bloke with only the common man's best interests at heart before any of us will snap...

Driving tanks around town is a bit unoriginal; someone did it a few years ago in Nederland, CO. But I am afraid our cops were a bit pathetic. So $1million dollars' worth of phone towers were destroyed before the driver stalled the vehicle.

I suppose it is a change from the usual reason that Australia makes the news in America; usually it happens when a crocodile bites an American tourist, or a koala pees on Tom Cruise.

Has happened at least twice before in Sydney that I know of, plus one in WA I think.

First one, Army bloke lost the plot, drove across Sydney, over cars etc. Shot himself in the middle of the Harbour Bridge. Can't remember too much about the second one, but after 2 I think the Army may have tightened up procedures a bit
