Some of you might find this amusing. Some of you might even be able to relate to it.

Ian.

Reminds me of buying my wife a hedge trimmer for Christmas..........
She had told me she would like a little something gold.
Well, the trigger on the hedge trimmer was gold coloured which I thought was close enough.
She did not see the funny side at all - a couple of months later and $$$$ she had her gold.... had to wait a little longer to get that next must have tool.....

Just after Nikon had upgraded their camera line from the F-TN, I said to SWMBO that I was going to order a Nikon FTN. (Used but from a supplier that I trusted.) When SWMBO didn't hear or understand what was said, she would just say "OK".
When the camera arrived a few days later the argument ended with, "Well if you didn't hear, why did you say "OK"?"

He's either a poor sod or a good marketing man.
I used to leave trade a boat style magazines in the toilet with circles around multi thousand dollar yachts for sale. Later I would mention I was thinking of a new $700 windsurfer sail. Worked every time.
Cheers
Bill
