    Question How do you...

I've noticed that sometimes people put screen shots from the board in their posts.

    How do you that?
Copy and paste doesn't work. I just get the text and not the bitmap.

PrtScr key puts a bmp file on the clipboard & then you can paste to any MS product.
    Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

    If you mean like this:

Then on a Win machine, hold down the Shift Key and press Print Screen (top row toward the right on your KB). Then, open a photo program like Paint and paste the image. Size it for the forum and save as a Jpeg or whatever. Then use Manage Attachments to upload it to your post. There may be other, simpler ways as well, but this one works for me.
    Cheers,

    Bob

um craig you can also go to "downloads.com" and get a "screen capture" program ....there are some for free ...I have wisdom softs screenhunter and it works with the minimum of fuss ....just press the designated "f" key and it captures what you see ...simply use an edit program to crop it, change format..(bmap - jpeg, gif etc) or add text ....save it in its smallest form ..and load it up from your hd ..

    Don't need it.
As stated above, look on your keyboard for the Print Screen button. Hit it. Open the graphics program that came with the version of windows you're running (too bad if you use a plastic raincoat though they probably have one too) and hit Ctl V (for paste). There's your screen shot which you then save as a jpg

Hell, if I can do it, anyone and their cat can

Then anyone and their dog. And if no dog, what about a ferret or a koala?

Our drop bears are dormant at the moment, if you would like to try and remove one.
Careful though they get snotty when woken up.
