Installing window in a stone wall
I have removed the window from the cavity brick wall of the old bathroom and now wish to install in the exterior stone wall of the extended bathroom. (see my Bathroom Renovation Project thread on the Bathroom section)
I was considering using a PGH terracotta lintel (or 2 of them) above the window.
My plan was to knock a hole in the stone wall in the centre above where the window will go. One acrow prop point. Cut out the stone enough to insert the lintel. Insert and leave to set for about a week then remove props. Then cut the hole and fit the window.
How does this sound?????
Cheers
Juan
