Bob, in 6 months time I expect there will be a general whinge about the balmy minus whatevers in the NOrthern Hemisphere, we find it therapeutic to have a bit of a moan
Was going to send you a reddy but me bloody fingers are too cold

Beautiful June winters day in Sydney today. Cloudless blue sky but the air temperature is a bit crisp.

Don't mind me, mate. The heat makes me cranky.
    Cheers,

Its not real warm here at the moment and we've been getting a bit of rain. Cut our tank pad two weeks ago and now we are waiting for the tank to arrive.

Mate it was wild, wet and windy down here last night. I went outside to bring the dog in and he was hovering 4 feet off the ground (the length of his chain). The trees were bending over and touching the ground, and the rain was so hard it nearly stripped the Colorbond off the roof.

In all seriousness, it was a full on storm last night that went for several hours and I haven't looked around yet but there must be a hell of a mess.

Good thing that building inspector made us put the extra tie down on the verandah roof...

Glad you tied the dog down. How much rain did you get?

Haven't checked the rain gauge but the AWS at Merimbula says about 50mm over night, winds gusting to 72km (39 knots).

    G'day,

Just spent the last hour unblocking the stormwater drain in front of the shed.

The dyke almost sprung a leak, lucky I didn't have to put my finger in it.

    G'day there,
It's cold enough here that I bet the dog regrets cocking his leg on the lounge suite the last time he was allowed in!!
    Cheers

brisk and damp here today and more tomorrow forecast is for storms ...today was interesting on the bobcat as the ground turned to slishyslush pretty damned fast and what with building up the lower driveway to allow easier access for the semi with the house in a couple of months time I must admit I spent the day laughing my head off or singin lustily while slip slidding all over the paddock!! Gawd I do love operating machines!!

And tomorrows gonna be even BETTER!!

have to redo the creek side levee bank near the house and cut out some steps then around to the other side to have a whirl at that driveway... all the while rain phissin down ground goin to mush an me laughin me dial off!! WHAT A LIFE!!

THEN!! THEN the fun starts... gotta rip down the back corner and tearass all the rubble an accumulated whatevers into piles slide around picking it up while tryin not to go assoverturkey into the creek which at that point is about 4mtrs drop ...then its off to the other side of the creak for a bit of digging out of the old creek run as a diversionary tactic if the rain becomes Melbourneish ... make a few hillocks for tree planting as I go then back around to the house side of the creek to play down there for a bit... then FINALLY as a final thing and the actual reason I hired the ruddy toy to clean up the house area so its sorta reasonably level for the surveyor when he lobs up on Mondy!!

But talk about fun!! Had an absolute hoot of a time... didnt realize how much I missed muckin about on a bobcat gotta get me one!! wonder how much they go at auction nowadays? mmmm
Believe me there IS life beyond marriage!!! Relax breathe and smile learn to laugh again from the heart so it reaches the eyes!!
