acoustic insulation installation
I'm lining a downstairs room to create a bedroom for a client and they have provided me with a roll of ~5mm thick acoustic insulation to put in the ceiling. I'm wondering how to install this between the joists? Can I staple or glue it directly to the underside of the floorboards or do I need to leave an air gap?
Cheers
Michael

I would be checking with the manufacter or supplier, different types require different applications
