Whats the weather like where you are ?

With some reference to climate change but not totally, just a weather talk, I figured it might be interesting for people to post what the weathers like where they are, has it changed in the last few years, colder, warmer more or less rain ?

Round here, top of the range in St East Qld, its been colder than last winter, finally got a week of decent rain, first for the year. The drought is ongoing but the current temperature drop is a bit weird, already had more colder days than last year.

Cold and wet. A mini cyclone is forecast to hit Sydney early tomorrow morning

It's been raining on and off for the last two weeks.

This of course is a GOOD THING!

They reckon that the dams might hit 50% capacity by the end of the week.

I still remember the winter of '73. The big rains, the great flood, followed by the hottest summer on record. The days when it was so hot that all you could do was lie on the beach and get in and out of the water all day. Hot westerlies dried you off before your bum hit the sand.

About 3 years ago I went for a swim on New Years Day and the water was like ice. We had a very short summer this year, only really a month or two of decent weather. I didn't get in the ocean once this summer.

We had the warmest May on record but the coldest November last year.

It's raining now and quite cold, I'd say about 10 or 11 degrees. It got up to 12 yesterday.

What does it all mean? Who can say. Yes the weather has changed in the 30 or so years that I can recall clearly. Every year is different. Is there a trend towards one type of weather? Not as far as I can tell. I reckon it's like looking out the window of the car and expecting the scenery to always be the same. If you drive in a circle, sooner or later it will be.

For 2 days it had been a constant 15°C overcast, mist & drizzle & then the change moved through just after lunch yesterday & we had some heavy rain, a bit of wind, the sun came out for 3 minutes, the wind dropped, it clouded over & went back to mist & drizzle & it is now a constant 16°C.

Got out my polar fleece tracky daks today, from he who loves shorts that is bloody cold.
Yesterday was positively icy, the wind stung the lobes on my ears, haven't experienced that for a while, but then I have less hair now too
The dogs won't go out for a pee and the horses have all retreated to the stable, or someones pinched them.

Overcast this morning, so no frost, but very windy.

Yesterday's max was 11, I reckon it was there for about 5 mins, rest of the day was a hazard for brass monkeys. Boy was it cold. Days like that I wish I had a wood heater in the shed, ah well one day.
