Shed Power...
forumites might remember that I had 15A power installed in my shed some months ago...
the sparkie was licenced - works for the Council...
However, he didn't supply me with a certificate - yu know... signed thing to say that the work had been done by him - a licenced sparkie...
Do I need this - a certification... for insurance and what not...
Should I request this...
Cheers

You are correct no one ever wants to see it , that is until you need to make an insurance claim without the certificate you can kiss any claim goodbuy

Not 100% sure on the situation in NSW, however, in Qld you will not get one.
The only 'certificates' if you like are for when your electrician liaises with the distributor for connection of additional phases and for connection to reduced tariff services - all because they impact they way the distributor provides a service to you.
The office of electrical safety doesn't have a collection of completed work tickets....
