    Default Mixing woodstains?

    Hi All
My windows frames are stained in a color called 'Pinnacle Oak'. I suspect that the builder could have pre-mixed the stain himself. However, the Builder is no longer in business.

I have tried mixing different stains to get the correct color but have not had much success.
Does anyone know how I can get the correct woodstain color? Is there a copy that can mix woodstains to a specific color. I have tried Dulux and a few companies but they don't do it.

    Thanks. Matt

    Default custom stain

    try a good paint shop...
ones that sell feast and watson stain
take a sample of the wood\colour in and ask them to match it

I'd imagine they'd start with basic oak and add yellow\red\brown until they get the tone and hue...

then they'll $ell you a stain\metho mix that matches your needs...

can do it here up in Broken Hill - Kolinac's in Argent Street...

    good luck
    cheers

Is it a stain or is it paint? If it has a name then it should be available somewhere, however with a name like Pinnacle Oak it sounds more like a paint to me than a stain.

    Default Thanks

Thanks for all the replies. I am pretty sure it is a stain rather than a paint. Let me try again. Matt
